
Why I Do This Work – My Story
My journey into this field wasn’t just academic—it was deeply personal.
At just six years old, my world turned upside down when my parents separated.
Their battles played out in courtrooms, but the real impact was felt in my heart, soul and body.
I wrestled with intense feelings of rejection, shame, and guilt, struggled to find where I truly belong.
Without emotional support, those inner child wounds followed me into adulthood.
I struggled with poor self esteem, resulting in people pleasing and difficulty saying no to people when I felt uncomfortable.
As I became an adult, those unresolved feelings made it difficult to respond calmly to situations beyond my control. I felt easily dysregulated.
But in the midst of those challenges, I began searching for answers, determined to reclaim my sense of peace and confidence.
My Turning Point
One of the pivotal answers came through a faith-led approach, which transformed my self-image into one of confidence and beauty.
Effective therapy and coaching were the tools I needed to heal, rebuild, and ultimately thrive.
Today, I’m proud to say that my journey has brought me here: a mother to two wonderful adolescents, married to my university sweetheart, and passionate about helping others find the clarity and healing they deserve.
